Black Hawk County Emergency
Management is requesting assistance from the public. We need citizens to
contact our office when you hear the siren activation during the test. This
assures that all outdoor warning sirens are operating properly. The number to
call to report siren activation is 319-291-4373. Thank you for your help.
During an actual event, the Outdoor Warning Siren System is to alert people
that are outside to seek shelter inside in a tornado safe location and turn to
local news for additional information. If you have any questions, please
contact Lorie Glover, Emergency Management Coordinator at 319-234-4373.
